I LOVE to go to the dog park. My favorite is Turkey Hill Park near La Plata. It is a big park with plenty of grass, trees, benches, and a tunnel to run through. Mommy has to bring water for me, but she doesn't mind.
My favorite friends are other large-breed puppies. I really like to play with Beau, Gauge, Clipper and Rascal. My friends Sheba, Sable, Marvin and Salem are great fun too. I pretty much like all of the dogs if they play with me. We run, wrestle and drink each other's water. Our Mommys and Daddys just stand around and talk or sometimes throw balls and frisbees for us. I don't like to play fetch that much, but I like to chase the other dogs who do play fetch.

My Halloween Costume
I let Mommy put this goofy costume on me. I don't mind it, except for the part that goes on my head. I don't like that part at all. Maybe I can chew it off.
I like my bandanas the best. I have a bandana that makes me look like a cowgirl, a flowery summer bandana, and, my favorite, a red bandana with my name on it. That one came with me when I came to live with my family. I was too small to wear it then, but it looks great on me now!
When I'm left alone
Yesterday a man came over to talk to my mommy about painting the house. I was outside, so I barked loudly to greet the man. Mommy came rushing outside to get me. She put me in the house and stayed in the yard talking to the man. I looked around the house for some amusement. Well! Mommy forgot to put up the gate to the upstairs, so I went to look around.
I've only been upstairs a couple of times. Mommy was not around, so this was my chance! All of the doors were open, so I selected my favorite room. My human sister lives in that room. She has great toys! I have just a small toy box, but this girl has a whole room FULL of toys! So, I went shopping.
First, I carried the "Woody" doll downstairs to my toybox. Then I found a small stuffed animal to carry down as well. I also grabbed a stuffed bear with a blue shirt for my new collection. Just then, my mommy came in and discovered what I was doing. She made me give back all of the toys! And after I worked so hard to chose just the right ones for my collection!
Now that I know what great stuff is stashed upstairs, I'll jump at my next chance to go exploring!
